Born September 1, 1939 in Maitland, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Sherfield S. Sparks and Tish Hughes Sparks. Tommy loved his Family, his Church and his brothers and sisters in Christ! He truly had a green thumb when it came to growing and taking care of his vegetable garden. He leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years, Carolyn Sue Noe Sparks; son, Tommy “Roger” Sparks Jr. (Delores) of Taneytown, MD; daughter, Angel D. Brown (Freddie Hernandez) of Socastee; his beautiful granddaughters, Amanda C. Sparks of Taneytown, MD, Samantha S. Sparks of Mobile, AL, Cierra F. Sparks of Socastee; brother Sherfield “Buddy” Sparks (Sylvie) of TN, sister Margie Sparks Anderson (James) of WVA and many nieces and nephews."A funeral service will be held at 2:00 on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the River of Life Church of God, 1112 Cox Ferry Road, Conway, SC. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
