"Deborah Abram Hopkins left the arms of her husband and found herself in the arms of her Savior on Sunday, January 23, 2022. She was 64 years old.
Born to the late Rev. Bud and Anna Dickterenko-Abram, she came into this world on January 17, 1958. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

"Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 45 years, Terry Dwight Hopkins. Her daughter Melissa (Paul) Cantrell of Kenova, WV. Terry Dwight Hopkins, Jr. (Megan) of Darlington, SC and Jonathan Michael (Amanda) Hopkins of Darlington, SC. Debbie was blessed to be a grandmother to Kevin (Emma) Cantrell, Mikayla (Draggon) Napier, Jaelyn, Addison and Aiden Hopkins. Justin, Andrew, Hannah, Erica and Terry Hopkins, III. She was recently privileged to become a great-grandmother to Baby Sarah.

"Debbie loved spending time in the kitchen preparing meals for her family and church family whom she loved dearly. She attended the Roderfield Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed helping her church and community. She spent several years volunteering her time to the Mount View High School Golden Knights Football and Basketball Boosters and she loved helping with the Prom.

"Debbie was from a large family and loved each of them. She is survived by several siblings:
Mary Jean Mitchell, Jimmy Abram, Joyce (Harold) Taylor, Judy Trent Luke, Linda (Steve) Lewis, Richard (Ann) Abram, Danny (Tammy) Abram, Sherri Abram, Joey (Mandy) Abram.

"Debbie mourned the loss of her brothers Bobby Martin, Ronnie Abram, Johnny Abram, and sisters: Marylon Ann Abram, Nancy Abram and Cathy Stone.

"Several nieces, nephews, friends and family will miss Debbie so much.

"Funeral Services will be officiated by her brother-in-law and Pastor Daniel “Tommy” Stone which will be conducted on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the Roderfield Pentecostal Holiness Church. The family will receive friends at Noon on Wednesday. Service will be held at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at the Iaeger Memorial Cemetery, Roderfield WV. Pallbearers will be family and friends. COVID-19 protocols remain in place with the wearing of masks in indoor areas and proper social distancing to be maintained during this time.

Sherman Collins

"Sherman Collins, 73, of Warriormine passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021in Cabell Health Care Center, Culloden, WV.
Born October 2, 1948 in War he was the son of the late Bud Collins and Mattie Hilton Collins. He was a former coal miner, and was a former custodian with the McDowell County Board of Education. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He had a lot of wonderful family and friends whom he loved.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers, Paul, John, Benjamin, Edward and Bud Collins Jr; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Izear and Okie Muncy.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Effie Muncy Collins of the home; daughters, LaShay Collins and Missy Halbert of Morehead, KY; two brothers, Manuel Collins of War and Kelly Collins and wife Vicky of Tazewell, VA; three sisters, Margaret Mullins and husband Jackie of Raysal, Laura May Howard and husband Ron of Kentucky, and Patricia Collins Jones.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date at the Muncy Family Cemetery in Shop Hollow, Warriormine.
