"On Thursday, December 3, 2020, the gates of Heaven opened and the Lord welcomed home His daughter, Gloria Lindell (Thomas) Williams, whom He shared with us for 66 years, ending after a ravaging 33-day battle with COVID-19.‬
‪Gloria Lindell Williams was born December 10, 1953, in Algoma, West Virginia, to the late Bury Lee and Mary Ruth (Johnson) Thomas. She was preceded in death by her brother, Victor Daryl Thomas. She spent most of her adult life in Fort Washington, MD, after leaving home in the early 1970’s to later pursue a career expanding more than 45 years with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.‬
‪Lindell graduated from Northfork High School in 1971. She was a member of the Blue Demons Marching Band. She spent most of her time with family and friends. She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and the Soaps. Lindell was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Los Angeles Lakers. She had a passion for making others happy and would say things that would make you laugh until you cried. She never met a stranger and looked forward to the camaraderie of friends and family around the kitchen table, at the “Rock,” or any other place and venue.‬
The everlasting memories of Lindell are in the hearts of her husband Charles Williams; Ft.
