"Franklin K. Hicks, 62, of Caretta, WV, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at UVA Hospital in Charlottesville, VA. Born May 15, 1959 in Welch, he was the son of the late Claude Woods and Lola Hicks Woods.
He was a former employee of the McDowell Public Service District, Olga Coal Company and the Board of Education. He loved flying his hobby airplanes, 4-wheeler riding and he liked classic rock and roll. He was a member of the Jesus Church at Bartley."In addition to his parents; he is was preceded in death by one brother, Grady Hicks and one sister, Chestine Eller.
