LEST WE FORGET
http://www.3-5cav-Blackknights.org/casualties.htm

On this date, 38 years ago, Cpl. Thurman Tracy Walls died serving his country in Vietnam. Thurman was a member of D Troop, 3rd Squadron, 5th Cavalry. The 3/5 Cav were known as the Black Knights and his Troop was known as Lighthorse. They were an Air Cavalry unit, meaning they fought and conducted operations primarily from helicopters. They are a proud unit with a proud history. Thurman's tour of duty was only a little over 2 months. For more info about D Troop, 3/5 Cav, there are a few websites. Here they are:

For info about the 3/5 Cav go to www.3-5cav-Blackknights.org. My cousin, too, was a member of the 3/5 Cav, C Troop. He was KIA New Year's Eve, December 31, 1967, about 4 months before Thurman. He had only been in country 20 days. This info is provided FYI, for those who didn't know - LEST WE FORGET. It is also provided to keep Thurman's memory alive for those who didn't know him LEST WE FORGET. Thurman knew war, now may he know peace eternally. I am sincerely, forever grateful for his service.
