She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother."Ms. Sliger was born Aug. 17, 1928, in Haysi, Dickenson County, VA, a daughter of the late Clarence Willis (1912-1989) and Flora Barton-Willis (Deceased). In addition to her parent she is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Sliger Jr. (1924-1996) whom she married on October 11, 1947; one son, Carl Wayne Sliger (Died in Infancy); four sisters; and four brothers. Mrs. Sliger was the last member of her original family.
