her home. She was born on December 28, 1934 in Ravencliff, WV a daughter of the late Hurley and Delphia Short
Shumate. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband's Paul Moses Duncan and John Lewis
Lafferty; a daughter Dvon Duncan; a brother Daniel Shumate; and sisters Delores Edwards and Doris Tolliver; and
son-in-law Kevin Stambaugh. Survivors include her daughters Donna Lafferty, Evelyn Stambaugh; three sons Ken
(Gail) Duncan, Brett (Shannan) Duncan and John (Linda) Lafferty; she was blessed with thirteen grandchildren
Beth Duncan, Roy Duncan, Tiffany Duncan, Joshua Fullam, Amanda Fulk, Jordan Fullam, Destiny Massey, Blayne
Hill, Jared Fullam, Chelsea Duncan, Hannah Stambaugh, Andrew Stambaugh and Julia Lafferty; twelve great
grandchildren; two sisters Evelyn Wills and Mae Nolley; a brother David Shumate; and a host of nieces, nephews
and other loving family and friends. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at 1 pm on Friday February 28th at
the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Ravencliff, WV with Ann Hill and David Shumate officiating. She will
be laid to rest in Lafferty Family Cemetery, McGraws, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 12 pm until
time of services on Friday at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the
Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco."
