"Brandon Jarrod Lockhart, 36, of Iaeger, WV, departed this life and received his home in Heaven on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, from injuries sustained in a tragic accident.
Brandon was born June 20, 1980, a son of Clyde Jr. and Debbie Lockhart. He was a 1998 graduate of Iaeger High School and had been a truck driver for 18 years, driving for various companies. He was currently employed for RDD Trucking of Iaeger, owned by a special friend, Dewayne Dotson. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish, and golf. What he loved most in life was taking his little boy, Noah, on four wheeler rides and to the park. Brandon also loved spending time with all his nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered for his wonderful smile, that he had anytime you saw him.
Brandon was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Okie Lockhart; his maternal grandfather, Roy Hurley; and an uncle Roy (Chucky) Hurley, Jr.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Clyde Jr. and Debbie Lockhart of Iaeger; his wife, Shae Lockhart and their son, Noah, his pride and joy, of the home; one sister, Amy Kennedy of Iaeger and her special friend and companion, Cheryl Rhodes of Bluefield, WV; special nephew, who he cherished and spent many hours hunting and fishing with, Caleb Kennedy; nieces and nephews, Chelsey, Carly and Isaiah Whitt, and Chloe, Hannah and Truby Mays; maternal grandmother, Fern Hurley of Iaeger; mother and father-in-law, Destry and Christine Rambo; brothers and sisters-in-law, Brock and Jessica Whitt and Megan and Allan (Cheesey) Mays. He also leaves behind aunts and uncles that adored him; Stevie and Beth Hurley, Tootie and Gail Hagy, Brenda Bailey and Ernestine Blankenship (Johnny Deskins), and seven very special cousins who were more like brothers and sisters, Gregory Hurley, Landon Hurley, Stephanie Hebert, Tara French, Kim Hunt, Brian Hagy and Darren Blankenship; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 o'clock Saturday, August 13, 2016, with Pastor James Cline officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Burial will follow in the Hurley Family Cemetery on Johnnycake near Iaeger, WV. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Hagy, Darren Blankenship, Landon Hurley, Gregory Hurley, Ryan Beck, Brian Salyers, Melvin Sheryl, Leo Steele, Tommy Owens, Brock Whitt, Allen (Cheesey) Mays, and Jerry Warrix, Jr.
Friends may visit with the family from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday evening, August 12, 2016 at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, where an evening service will be held at 7 p.m. ..."
