"BLUEFIELD - Earlene Gay Mitchem Rose, 54, of RR1, Box 416-A, Bluefield, formerly of Eckman, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, at St. Mary?s Medical Center in Huntington after a long illness.
"Born Sept. 18, 1952 in Welch, she was the daughter of the late Claude Franklin Mitchem and Laura Ann Mitchem. She was affiliated with the Church of God faith, was a homemaker, was a former resident of Eckman, and had resided in Bluefield for the past four years.
"Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Bethel Graham and Betty Lester; four brothers, Randolph Mitchem, David Mitchem, Donald Edward Mitchem, and Roy Franklin Mitchem.
Survivors include her husband, Alvin Rose of Salisbury, N.C.; one daughter, Barbara Davis and husband Jamie of Indiana; one son, Mark Moffitt of Indiana; one brother, Ralph Mitchem and wife Patricia of Bluewell; four grandchildren, Christian Moffitt, Jeramie Moffitt, Heather Moffitt, and Dillon Davis; and other family members.
"Funeral service will be held Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at 12 noon at Widener Funeral Home Chapel, Northfork, with the Rev. Richard Sturgell officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bluewell..."
