"Danny Green , 74, of Roseville, died peacefully Tuesday, September 21 surrounded by his loving wife Rosemary and family members."He was born July 20, 1947 in Davy, West Virginia, to the late George and Beulah Green and moved to the Detroit area in his late teens to seek work. Shortly after arriving in Michigan he met Rosemary Siwak and they married on December 2, 1967 and were together for 54 years until his passing.
"Danny loved spending time with family and friends whether it was camping, fishing, barbequing or social gatherings. He always invited people over to his house for a few drinks after a hard day's work or just to socialize. He cherished time spent with all of his grandchildren and was broken hearted when his grandchild Selina passed away in February of this year. He was a conscientious and hard worker in the roofing industry and did all that he could to provide for his family. He started out as a helper at Milbrand Roofing Company in late 1960's and worked his way up to roofer for 11 yrs, and eventually operating engineer, a position he held for 22 years. He was a member of the Roofers Local 149 and Operating Engineers Local 324. In November, 2001, he filed for disability retirement.
"He is survived by his loving wife Rosemary and three children, Melissa (Jim) Tune, Jeffrey (Maria) Green, and Danielle (Kim) Pacitto; grandchildren Jeff (Courtney) Green, Michael (Cheyenne) McNaughton, and Selina Pacitto (deceased); sibling Mary (Hilton) Page and several great grandchildren, neices and nephews. He was predeceased in dealth by siblings Leonard, Earl, Lily May, Edna "Ruth", Jack, Wanda "Bonnie", Clark, Jerry and Charles Wayne.
