She was born September 6, 1959 in Mercer County, and the daughter of the late Eliza Walker. Kathy was raised in Anawalt, WV and a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Anawalt. After completing her education, she became a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and her pastimes were spent watching soap operas and Little House on the Prairie. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Holliday, two grandchildren; three brothers-in-law: Weldon Sr,, Billy and Paul Holliday, also two nephews, Weldon Holliday Jr. and Andrew Walker Jr. She is survived by her children: LaToya Walker of Washington, DC, Veronica (Eddie) Kelsor, Ronni Walker, Antonia (Archie Hairston) Walker and Ronald Jones Jr. all of Gary and Monti Holliday of Princeton, WV.; 21 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one sister, Lestine Walker of Washington,DC and one brother, Andrew Walker Sr of North Carolina;two brothers-in-law, James (Mary) Holliday of Bethlehem, PA and Demetrius ((Minister Karen) Holliday of Gary and daughters, Latoya (Keith) Davis and Ashley Holliday; sister-in-law, Brenda J. Holliday of Welch, WV and a host of other relatives and two special friends, Jerome Huff of Thorpe, WV and Monica "Bird" Barner of Morgantown, WV.
