"Kendall Scott Cline of Rockhouse, West Virginia passed away early on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, following complications from a long term illness."Kendall, or “Kermit” as his friends knew him, was born on August 24, 1966 in Welch, WV to Dall and Chrystal Cline. He was a successful entrepreneur, who ran several businesses throughout his lifetime.
"Kendall will be remembered for his wit and sense of humor, even in hard times. On the weekends you could find Kendall at the race track, carrying on a legacy he started with his dad and brother in his 71 Ford Maverick. He loved nothing more than to ride his Harley with his brother Allan and friends, aggravating his sister, Vanessa, and spending time fishing on the lake. If he wasn’t at the racetrack, or with his siblings, he found solace at the beach, or enjoying his garage and outdoor spaces.
"Kendall was a true family man. He was a treasured brother, uncle, step-pop, nephew, and friend. He was loved dearly by all of his nieces and his only nephew. Those he leaves behind, remember his “time in a day” mantra fondly. He was known to face things head on and with steel like composure, and never left a situation without a smile. He will be remembered for his rugged exterior that concealed his soft heart. Those who ran alongside Kendall often received a unique nickname that served as a term of endearment. He valued spontaneity above regimen, and often quoted the song “Live like you were dying”.
"Kendall is preceded in death by his loving Mother and Father, Dall and Chrystal Cline, loving wife Robin Cline, and one brother, Travis Leon Cline.
"He is survived by his Aunts, Audra Maxine Thomas (Stanley) of Rockhouse; Ruth Bishop, and Reetha England (Jackie) of Hanover ;Sister, Vanessa Justice (Jamie) of Lexington, KY; His brother Allan Cline (Drema Morgan) of Pineville, WV; His four nieces: Tessa Browning (Keith) of Rockhouse, WV; Katelyn Justice (Rob Icsman) of Louisville, KY; Emily Gorley (Blair) of Nicholasville, KY; Alexandra Brown (Jeff) of Rockhouse, WV; Nephew Austin Cline of Rockhouse, WV; Step-daughters, Jacqueline Canada and her girls; Jennifer Lonker; Paula Williamson; as well as two great nephews and one great niece.
"Visitation will be held Sunday, September 19th, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Evans-Calfee funeral home in Pineville, WV, with funeral to follow at 3 p.m. Pallbearers include: Jeff Lovejoy, Jerry Robinson, Steve Cline, John Brooks, Dennis Moore, John Hatfield.
"Honorary Pallbearers: Jamie Justice, Austin Cline, Blair Gorley, Darren Thomas, and Keith Browning
"In an abundance of caution and care we respectfully ask that all attendees please wear a mask and practice social distancing as much as possible.
