"Ernie Blankenship Sr, 59, of Thorpe, West Virginia passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, April 15, 2022 at Beckley ARH hospital."Ernie was born February 5th, 1963 in Welch, West Virginia to Charlie Lee "Ed" Blankenship and Lucy Lois Blankenship. Ernie enjoyed spending time with others and never met a stranger. He had a genuine love for life and always encouraged those he cared about to live their lives to the fullest. One of his greatest joys in life was making other people laugh and he would describe himself as a clown regularly. He loved having fun and acting crazy. He had so much love to give and would do anything for you if you needed him. He loved speaking to people and sharing stories about his life, his friends, and family. He was a strong, caring person who never believed in quitting or giving up and fought through each day to stay with those he loved. His love and his memory will be carried on in the hearts and minds of each and every one of them.
