He was born on January 12, 1965 in Man, WV a son of Geraldine Browning Lusk of Cyclone and the late Alvin Lusk. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his grandparents Ed and Ella Lusk and Joseph and Hazel Browning, and a brother in law whom he thought of as his brother, Randy Lusk. In addition to his mother survivors include a daughter Heidi Noel and husband Jordan Watring of Winchester, VA, sisters Katrina Louise Lusk of Auburn, Patricia Angelene Belcher and husband Donald Belcher of Summersville, three nephews Jeremy Lusk, Jared Lusk and Johnny Michael Spolarich, great nephews Noah and Emmett Lusk, great nieces Rylee Copeland, Jane Lusk, Elli Spolarich and Tilli Spolarich, his fiancé Ciera Davidson and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 4 pm on Tuesday, April 9th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Jackie Lusk officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 3 pm until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated following the service. "Born November 3, 1936 in McDowell County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Willard Hatfield. and Pearlie Mae (Sweeney) Hatfield.

"He was a retired truck driver, he loved four-wheeling, spending time at the lake, and playing cards with family and friends.

"In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor Sue Hatfield; his second wife, Mary Baker Hatfield; one infant son, Terry Otis Hatfield; six brothers and eight sisters.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Sheri H. "Sgt Hatfield was assigned to 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He died when hit by enemy fire while supporting combat operations. Jerome grew up in Pittsylvania County and graduated from Tunstall High School in Brosville, Virginia. Not long after graduation, he married his wife Angela and had three children. In June 1991, he decided to join the Marines and planned to make it his career. Jerome started his service as a drill instructor but then became the company operations chief for Delta Company in the 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion. He served in the Adriatic Sea in 1992 and 2000, Iraq in 2006 and 2008 and was deployed to Afghanistan in June 2009. He was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Combat Action Ribbon and many campaign, unit and service distinctions. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, camping and riding his motorcycle. Jerome drew people to him with his wonderful personality – he will be greatly missed".

"Spicer joined the Corps in October 1994 and had been selected for promotion to gunnery sergeant, officials said. He is survived by a wife and a daughter. Heede enlisted in September 2005.
