"Herbert Gibson, Sr., 65, of Oceana, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday December 30, 2014 at his home."He was born on June 13, 1949 in Wharton, WV, a son of Annie Daniels-Gibson of Cyclone, and the late Aldie Gibson (Deceased).
"Herbert was a member of UMWA, NRA and attended the Toler Baptist Church at Campus. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years Betty Mae Duffy-Gibson (1948-2014); and a granddaughter Tressie Fox (Deceased).
"Those left to cherish his memory are his two sons Herbert and Dawn Gibson, Jr. of Matheny and Timothy Gibson and companion Vicky of Turkey Dip; three sisters Earnestine Gibson-Hereford of Williams Mountain, Betty Gibson-Duffy and Owen Duffy, and Janet Gibson-Rollins all of Cyclone; four brothers Billy Ray Gibson and Freda Gibson, Clarence and Debbie Gibson, Danny and Reatha Gibson, and Eugene "Cotton" Gibson and Teresa Gibson all of Cyclone; ten grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends.
