He was surrounded by his loving family and friends."Anthony was born on September 11, 1975, in Richlands, VA. He was the son of Johnny and Ruth(Lester) Cooper of Paynesville, WV. Anthony was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clell and Viola Cooper, maternal grandparents, Ezra and Martha Lester, brother Johnny Cooper, and niece Sarah Young.

"Anthony was a 1993 graduate of Iaeger High School. He retired from Norfolk and Southern Railroad after 23 years as locomotive engineer. He enjoyed attending church services at Family Worship Center in Jolo, WV. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. He spent a lot of time on the river and lake with his daughter Paige and he always said it’s not always about catching fish, but the memories made along the way. He was a very giving and caring man, touching many lives throughout his years. He made multiple friendships throughout his life that he held dear to his heart. He never really knew just how many people he made an impact upon, or just how many people will miss his presence.
"Funeral Services will be held at Family Worship Center in Jolo, WV Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 1 o’clock with Pastors Charles Rose and Randall Dority officiating with burial services to follow at J.M. Cooper Family Cemetery on Rockridge Rd. Serving as pallbearers will be a host of family and friends.
