"James E. Buchanan, Sr."Age 95, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at Newark Manor on Friday, April 4, 2008.
"Born in Wilmington, Mr. Buchanan was the son of the late Robert E. and Theresa Buchanan. He worked as a foreman for a commercial laundry company before his retirement.
"His wife, Helen (Swiggett) Buchanan and his son, James Buchanan, Jr. predeceased him. He is survived by his children, William A. Buchanan and his wife, Pattie of Bear, DE, Wayne A. Buchanan of Newark, DE and Carole Morgan and her husband W. Gardner Morgan of West Palm Beach, FL; and daughter-in-law, Mei Buchanan of Annapolis, MD; his brother, Paul Buchanan of Wilmington, DE; his sister, Frances Twardus of Milford, DE; 6 grandchildren, Aileen, Scott, Heather, Ryan, Sheena and Catriona; and 4 great grandchildren.
"Friends and family are invited to visitation on Monday, April 7, between 6-8 pm at Mealey Funeral Home, Limestone and Milltown Roads, Wilmington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 9:30 am at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.
