"She was a lifetime resident of War, and passed away at The Maples, Bluefield.
Daughter of the late Joe Willie Handy and Willa Ann Wright Handy. Debra graduated from the Big Creek High School and attended Bluefield State College. Member of Christ the King Catholic Church in War."She will be remembered by her daughter; four siblings; a niece; a nephew; and a host of aunts, uncles, other family members and friends.

"CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — The family of a deceased West Virginia teacher has received an unclaimed property check of more than $151,000."State Treasurer Riley Moore presented the check Saturday to the family of Debra Handy.
"A lifelong resident of War, Handy worked with the McDowell County school system for more than four decades. After her 2017 death, the funds in her teacher’s retirement account were eventually turned over to the treasurer’s office as unclaimed property.
"Handy's daughter, Willa Handy, also is a teacher and plans to use the funds to complete her doctoral degree, Moore's office said in a news release."

surrounded by her loving family at her home on Friday
November 12, 2010. She was born March 13, 1941 in
Avondale, WV a daughter of the late Ira and Marie Mullins
Blankenship. She was a homemaker and loving wife and
mother. She was of the baptist faith and an active volunteer of
Five Loaves and Two Fishes Food Bank. In addition to her
parents her husband of 42 years Herman Hall preceded her in
death along with two brothers Mack and Butch Hall and a great
granddaughter Sabrina Thomas. Survivors include a son
Brandon Hall and daughter Margie Hall both of the home,
daughters Linda Thomas of Bedford, VA, Brenda Mullins of
Hensley, and Barbara Gibson of Sandy Huff; six grandchildren,
seven great grandchildren; two brothers Benny England and
Donald England both of Hensley; two sisters Shirley Willard of
Big Sandy and Patricia Shook of Franklin, NC; a dear special
friend Margie Falvo; a special friend of the family Sara Powers;
her special dog Gizmo; and a host of other loving family and
friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday
November 15, 2010 in the Myrtle Valley Baptist Church,
Hensley Hollow, with Rev. Bubby Flavo officiating. Corlee will

"Larry David Cline, 74, of Coaldale Mountain Bramwell, West Virginia passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Westwood Center in Bluefield, VA."Larry was born September 29, 1942 in Justice, West Virginia to the late Albert Peter Cline (1887-1966) and Mary H. Browning-Justice-Cline (1910-1987). Larry had been a resident of Coaldale for the past thirty years and attended the Church of God.
"In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Ranice Dale Cline (1953-2008); three half-brothers, Wincy Cline (Deceased), Connie Cline (1914-1982), and James "Wannie" Cline (1917-1998); and five half-sisters Christal Cline-Shannon (1919-2010), Janice Cline-Toler (1923-Deceased), Mary Cline-Spratt (1914-Deceased), Helen Cline-Moore (Deceased) and Corinne Cline (Deceased).

She had been a resident of Princeton for 7 years and attended the Memorial Church of Christ in Princeton. She was a devoted wife, sister and aunt. She loved Christian music, western shows, cooking and her family reunions. Five years before entering the nursing home, Shirley made her home with her brother and sister in law, James and Penny Pennington.
