" Mrs. Naomi I. Clay, 77, formerly of Saulsville, WV, died Wednesday, February 1, 1995 in a Georgia hospital following a long illness. Mrs. Clay was a 69 year resident Saulsville, WV and and eight year resident of Ludowici, GA. She was a member of the Sweet Home Baptist Church of Maben, a past member of the Eastern Star, and a retired school teacher, having last worked for the Wyoming County Board of Education for 41 years.

"Born December 10, 1917 in Glen Rogers, Wyoming County, WV, she was the daughter of the late John "Ott" Brown, Sr. (1892-1968) and Ola Leona McGraw-Brown (1897-1984). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Russell Clay (1915-1975) whom she married on December 20, 1937 in Pineville, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1937, Page 295, Application Date: December 27, 1937); and siblings, Alma "Jack" Crockett Brown (1919-1984), Harless S. Brown (1923-1924), John "Ott" Brown, Jr. (1924-1984), Betty Jane Brown (1929-1982), and Mildred Pearl Brown-Trump (1929-1982).
