"Ronald Scott Morris, known as "Scott" to his friends and loved ones, was born December 5,
1970 in Bluefield, WV to Ada B. Morris and the late Ronald J. Morris. He accepted
Christ and was baptized at a very young age at Scott Street Baptist Church where he was active in
several youth ministries. Scott was a 1989 graduate of Bluefield High School, Bluefield, WV, and also was a member of the football team and the marching band. After graduation, he moved to Washington, DC and worked as a Computer Operator for Blue Cross Blue Shield and then relocated after he accepted a role with Bank of America in Atlanta, GA. He then enlisted in the US Army as a Medical Specialist for 6 years and enrolled in classes to become a Pharmacist. Following his time in the military, he spent the remainder of his career as a CDL truck driver, based in Dallas, TX until his health prevented him from working. Scott was a man of few words, but while some deemed him as quiet and reserved, he was very instrumental in shaping the lives of many that he cared for and mentored, especially LaShonta, DaSharell and Demarco Dozier. Scott departed this life with his family virtually by his side as he received his eternal phone call on Tuesday afternoon, June 21, 2022, at Medical City Hospital in Denton, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald J. Morris; his maternal grandparents, Oscar and Mattie Mae Lewis; paternal grandparents John W. and Ada E. Morris; aunt Theresa “Nellie” Baskin; and uncles, William Oscar Lewis, Michael Lewis, Rolando Amerson, and Ricky Price. Scott was pretty much a jack of all trades but especially enjoyed car reformation and repairs, listening to music, and watching football. Scott will be remembered as a quiet, gentle soul who would do anything for anyone, faithful to his friends, and most of all an amazing husband who
adored his wife, Kimberly. Scott leaves many cherished memories to his loving and devoted wife, Kimberly Morris of Aubrey, TX; mother, Ada B. Morris of Bluefield, WV; siblings: John Morris Thompson of Woodbridge, VA and Beth, R.B.
