"Virginia was a 1947 graduate of Mannington High School. Eugene Wayne Snider on March 16, 1948.
"Virginia worked as a correspondent for both the Beckley Post Herald and the Independent Herald newspapers. She graduated from Practical Nurses School in May of 1978. She was a member of Oceana United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher. She was a 4-H leader, a member of the Eastern Star, a Mother Advisor for Rainbow Girls and a member of the Girl Scouts.
"She enjoyed spending time with her family and particularly loved babysitting and helping with her grandchildren.
"In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; a son, James Lee; and a sister, Sally Efaw.
