of the late George Floyd and Susie Jane Mullens Workman. He was a United States Navy veteran serving in
World War II. He was a member of the UMWA and Matheny United Methodist Church. He loved God, country,
and family. He enjoyed spending time in Oceana putting a smile on people’s faces with his charm and jokes. In
addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Thelma Mae Linkous Workman and 12
brothers and sisters. Survivors include his daughter, Louise Francis of Matheny; three grandchildren Frankie
(Gretta) Francis, Dina (Mike) Duncan, and Mark Stewart; five great grandchildren Brandon Francis, Brandi
(Matthew) Paynter, Steven (Hannah) Duncan, Dylan Francis, and Brittany Duncan; four great great
