"Denzil was a loving husband of 47 years, a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a retired coal miner of 38 years.
"The highlight of his life was his grandchildren, along with a very special relationship with his grandson, Jayden Bailey and a very special and lifelong friend, Terry (Patty) Collins of Hanover, WV.
"Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years Linda Compton Bailey of the home; his children, Melanie and Matthew Collins, and Dana and Gregory Bailey all of Isaban, WV and Rodney and Belinda Bailey of Matewan, WV; six grandchildren, Allison Collins, Kaitlyn (Branson) Collins, Payton (Megan) Bailey, and Jayden Bailey all of Isaban, WV and Braxton and Addison Bailey of Matewan, WV; two great-grandchildren that he adored, Alyonna Kate and Isaiah Cole; siblings Kathy (Ernest) Wade of Matoaka, WV, Denise Cline of Gilbert, WV, Timothy Bailey and Brian Bailey both of White Sulpher Springs, WV.
