" Levi Cannaday Sr., age 71, who resided in Northfork, WV; formerly of Keystone, WV, departed this life on Saturday, January 21, 2023 in Welch Community Hospital. He was born in Welch, WV on the 19th day of November, 1951 and was the fourth of five sons born to Thomas L. and Beatrice (Fields) Cannaday."Levi was a 1969 Graduate of Northfork High School and completed two years of College. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. While living in Washington, DC, he was employed as a Correctional Officer. After returning to West Virginia, he was employed as a Correctional Officer at Stevens Correctional Center and retired as a CO II for the McDowell County Holding Unit both located in Welch. He attended First Baptist Church in Northfork, WV.
"In addition to his parents, Thomas L. and Beatrice, he was preceded in death by three of his brothers: Johnny, Charles and Thomas.
"Levi is survived by and leaves cherished memories to Aleto Jo Riley, his wife of 21 years and his children: Levi (Crystal) Cannaday Jr., of Lexington Park, MD, Janeen (Elder Fred) McRae and Leonard (Sabrina) Cannaday both of Allentown, PA, Stephney Riley of Alexandria, VA and Eric (Jada) Riley of Bluefield, WV; his only surviving brother, Michael Cannaday of North Carolina and a host of grand and great-grandchildren; many other family members, loved ones and friends.
"A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the First Baptist Church 123 E. Barker Street in Northfork, WV with the Reverend Eugene Watson officiating, assisted by the Elder Fred McRae and the Reverend Shelia Smith.
"Levi's Family and Friends will serve as both pallbearers and flower bearers.

"Linda Darlene Roberts Delgado 57, of Sandy Huff, WV, passed away Thursday May 7, 2015 surrounded by her loving family and friends in the Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, WV. Linda was born August 13, 1957, in Iaeger, WV, a daughter of the late Gus and Pearl Bostic Roberts. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She loved spending time with her family and friends, motor cycling, and vacationing in Florida and the Bahamas. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister Joann Roberts. Survivors include her husband of 33 years Alan "Al" Delgado of the home; three sisters, Phyllis Osborne and husband William of Bluefield, WV, Helen Cervantes and husband Manuel of Kirkland, WA, and Sharon Hagerman and husband Neal of Rural Retreat , VA; four brothers, Marvin Kennedy and wife Edna of Horse Creek, WV, Gene Roberts and wife Ellen of Pipestem, WV, Bobby Roberts and wife Ruby of Lerona, WV, Ralph Roberts and wife Lynn of Paynesville, WV; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends that she loved dearly. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 11, 2015, at 1 o'clock with Pastor Stanley Metz officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Burial will follow in the Roberts Cemetery at Cub Creek near Panther, WV."
