Bobby was born January 10, 1941, in Elkhorn City, Kentucky and moved to Gary, West Virginia in 1957. Bobby graduated from Gary High School Class of 1960."Bobby worked for Gary Union Supply Store, Elkhorn Valley Grocery Company and U. S. Steel Preparation Plant in Gary until closure of the facility. Bobby operated his own business with a Backhoe and Dump Truck. A proud Carrier of The Welch Daily News / The Welch News in the communities of Welch, Gary and Anawalt for the past twenty-three years with his wife, Sheila; Bobby was a proud Vietnam Veteran of The United States Army as well as a member of The Bluestone Region Antique Auto Club of Bluefield, West Virginia for thirty-three years; Bobby really enjoyed driving and showing his antique cars.
"Bobby attended the Thorpe United Methodist Church; also belonging to the Model A Club. Bobby loved working in his garden and his wood shop; also collecting die cast cars, working word search puzzles and most of all, he greatly enjoyed being with and participating in activities with his family. Bobby loved talking to his Neighbors and his Newspaper Family and sitting on his front porch in his rocking chair with family more than anything.
