"Lonnie Willard Roberts, Jr., 57, of Troutman, North Carolina, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021. Born November 29, 1963 in Welch, West Virginia; Lonnie was the son of the late Lonnie Willard Roberts, Sr. and Josephine Baker Roberts. Lonnie was a Truck Driver who greatly loved his church family, loved playing music, and was a huge fan of football, loudly cheering for The Cincinnati Bengals. In addition to his parents, Lonnie was preceded in passing by his brother, Kevin Roberts. Lonnie is survived by his son, Justin Bowles of Mooresville, North Carolina; one sister, Carrie Roberts of Avondale, West Virginia; one brother, Ricky Roberts and wife, Cindy of Mooresville, North Carolina; special friend, Revonda Bowles of Mooresville, North Carolina; cousin and close friend, Chuck Stinson and wife, Sandra of Troutman, North Carolina; very special aunt, Ruth Stinson of Troutman, North Carolina; three nieces: Candace Meadows and husband Andy of Virginia, Payton Roberts of Avondale, West Virginia, Hannah Roberts and fiancee Dalton Follrod of Mooresville, North Carolina; two nephews: Ryan and Dalton Roberts of Avondale, West Virginia; great niece, Harper Meadows of Virginia as well as a host of additional uncles, aunts and cousins. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 4, 2021 at The Independent Church of God located in Avondale, West Virginia with Reverend Danny Bowles officiating. Friends may call prior to the service from 11:00 AM until time of service. Social distancing and masks are to be worn by all attending. Burial will follow at Mullins Cemetery on Crane Ridge near Avondale, West Virginia. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
