"Agnes Almedia Hawks Kennedy, 90, of Paynesville, W.Va., went to be with her husband and family, Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at her residence on Rock Ridge Road. Mrs. Kennedy was born Dec. 28, 1921, in Carroll County, Va., a daughter of the late Harvey and Nora Skeens Hawks. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and an angel here on earth."In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Alice Hawks Kennedy; her husband, Joe Kennedy; there daughters, Donna Kennedy Burton, Darlene Kennedy and Rita Faye Kennedy; one son, Becoy Hawks; one grandson, Eric Burton; one granddaughter, Stevie Burton; one brother, William Hawks; four sisters, Wilma Rose Deskins, Gwendolyn Hocevar, Nancy Ellen Vance, and Evelene Blevins; and a son-in-law, Corbet Short.
