"Our sweet daddy and grandpa has went to his heavenly home. On April 26, 2018, William Harold Bryant, 80, of Roderfield, WV, gained his angel wing while surrounded by his daughters and grandchildren at his residence."William was born December 3, 1937, in Kentucky, a son of the late, John and Goldia Bryant. He was a retired coal miner and enjoyed attending church. William, our dad, was a man of powerful faith. He attended numerous churches in McDowell County and even preached in a few.
"In addition to his parents William was preceded in death by, his wife of 55 years, Wayma Irene Bryant; one daughter, Drema Sue Bryant; a grandson, James (J.W.) Matney; four brothers Edward Lee, David, Bunyon, and John Luther Bryant; and three sisters, Eleanor Chambers, Barbara Roberts and Ann Branham.
"Survivors include two daughters, Sandra (Arnold) St. John II of Roderfield, and Debbie (Burb) England also of Roderfield; four grandchildren, Megan (Jason) Roberts of Iaeger, Justin England of Roderfield, Dustin (Mariann) England of Houston, TX, Arnold D. (Dew) St. John III and companion Allie McNeely of Big Sandy; one granddaughter-in-law, Amanda Mays England of Premier; four great grandchildren, Kalynn and Kade Roberts of Iaeger, Elijah and Rylee England of Premier; one sister Sina Lowe of North Carolina and one brother, McGee Bryant and wife Beverly of Justice; and a host of nieces and nephews.
"The family would like to extend a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice Care, especially Selena Stinson Blevins, Felicity Auville, and Jodi Salyers for taking such wonderful care of our daddy. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at11 o’clock with Pastor Clinton Jackson officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger.
