"Mrs. Canterbury Taken by Death"PINEVILLE, Mrs. Minnie Keener Canterbury, 70, of Pineville, died at Grace Hospital, Welch, at 9 a.m., Saturday, where she had been a patient since Thursday after suffering a heart attack at her home.
"Born at Sylvia, N.C., May 12, 1882, she came to Wyoming County when about 15 years old. She married Oliver P. Canterbury in 1907. He preceeded her in death June 10, 1915.
"She was in charge of vital statistics of Wyoming County and was member of Pineville Chapter 10 Order of the Eastern Star.
"Survivors include a sister at Sylvia, N.C. and a niece, Mrs. Lonnie F. Brooks, of Windom, near Pineville.
"The body will be moved from the Robertson and Foglesong Funeral Home, Mullens, to the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Brown in Pineville at 5 p.m. Sunday.
"Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Craney Cemetery. "
