"Ruth was born October 10, 1935 in Avondale, WV, a daughter of the late Charles and Annie Mullins Stinson. She was a homemaker and was of the Church of God Faith.
"In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband Hobert Kennedy, and one brother, Ray Stinson.
"Survivors include one son, Denny Kennedy of Welch, WV; one daughter, Elisha Marshall and husband Luther Marshall, Jr. of Avondale, WV, and one granddaughter, Lakelyn Kennedy of Statesville, NC; two brothers Elisha Stinson of Statesville, NC, and Elmer Hale of Princeton, WV; a half brother, Lige Kennedy of Avondale, WV, a half sister, Nina Kennedy of Elkton, MD, and several nieces and nephews.
