home to be with the Lord Monday, December 10,
2012, from his residence. Herman was born March
17, 1928, in Litwar, WV, a son of the late Matthew and
Barbara Robinette Cline. He was a retired bus driver
for the McDowell County Board of Education Schools
for 28 years. Herman was also a deacon at the
Bethany Old Regular Baptist Church at Ikes Fork,
WV. Also, he served in the U.S. Army during the
Korean War and was a former coal miner.
"In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by
three brothers, Hannibal, Dennis and Billy Cline, and
two sisters, Stella Trent, and Elizabeth Cline.
"Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley
Cline of the home, one daughter Johnnie (Cline)
Blankenship and husband Joey of Princeton, WV; one
son Herman "Buckwheat" Cline and wife Brenda of
Monroe County formerly of Litwar, WV; one
granddaughter, Brittany Cline and companion Kasey
Salyers of Litwar, WV; one sister, Edith Collins of
Princeton, WV; and also a host of family and friends.
