"Mr. Blankenship was a lifelong resident of Clear Fork and was a retired coal miner from Eastern Associated Coal with 40 years of service. He was a member of Clear Fork Advent Christian Church, where he served as an elder and a trustee. He was a founding member of The Gospel Proclaimers as well as a member of the Blessed Hope Singers.
"He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Faye Matney-Blankenship; four brothers, Jerry "Jack" Blankenship, William L. "Tom Pete" Blankenship, Charles E.
