"Born June 11, 1925, in South Williamson, KY, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Stella Scott Brown.
"Ruby was a 1943 graduate of Belfry High School. She continued her education by obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree (with honors) from Concord College and two Master degrees from Marshall University; one in Education and another in Administration. During her 34 year career, she taught middle school, high school, served as Vice Principal of Oceana High School and Principal of Berlin McKinney Elementary School.
"She was a member of Calloway Heights Baptist Church in Beckley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, George (G.W.) Ford; her sister, Lou Etta Brown Alley; and her two brothers, Hassel and Roger Brown.
"She is survived by her son, Stephen W. Ford and two grandchildren, Kelly V. Ford and Ryan W. Ford.
