"According to the announcement, he has been unreported since July 20. The family said they last heard from him May 22 and at that time he was in Seoul, the capital of Southern Korea and which was attacked in the early days of the war which started June 25.
"The Taylors formerly resided in West Virginia and have been in the Oakfield section about two years with Mr. Taylor working at the U.S. Gypsum Co. plant. Pvt Taylor enlisted in the Marines at Logan W. Va. on Feb 13, 1948 and later transferred to the Army"US Headstone Applications, 1925-1963
