"Mary Elizabeth “Lib” Riffe, 85, of Jolo, WV, passed away Friday, August 23, 2019 in Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, VA."Lib was born December 24, 1933 in Jolo, WV, a daughter of the late James and Patsy Hagerman Riffe. Lib was born with limited eyesight but never let it stand in her way; she was always there to help in any situation. Lib was a meticulous housekeeper and a talented crafter and quilt maker; everything was always hand-sewn. She loved our decoration every year; lovingly she planned the dinner and bought a flower for every grave in the cemetery; each grave must have a flower. It just seemed fitting for her to take her final journey on decoration weekend, with her family by her side. Lib will be forever remembered and missed. She was dearly loved by all her sweet nieces and nephews.

"Mr. Crabtree was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he earned a World War II Victory Medal, having served in the Asiatic Pacific and American Theatres. He was a member of Calloway Heights Baptist Church, a Mason and a member of UMWA District 17. He was employed as a coal miner with Eastern Associated Coal Corp. at the Kopperston No. 2 Mine for 20 years before retiring. He previously worked for General Dynamics in San Diego, Calif., Bell Aircraft in Buffalo, N.Y., and at Kennedy Space Station in Cape Canaveral, Fla.
