"JOLO Mary Eloise Chandley (Tootie Hagerman), 71, of Jolo, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 4, 2009, while in the company of family and friends at her home.Mary was born April 9, 1938 in Three Forks near Jolo, a daughter of the late John Pershing and Margaret Coleman Hagerman. She was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed listening to the gospel and visits from her family and friends.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel Hobert and Pershing Crockett (Junior) Hagerman; a brother-in-law, Doil Cooper; her maternal grandparents, Dan and Nora Coleman; and her paternal grandparents, John and Caroline Hagerman.Survivors include six sisters, Lois Hagerman of the home, Sue Laxton and husband Lewis of Three Forks, Patsy Addair and husband Johnny of Beartown, Wanda Cooper of Pea Patch, Va., Doris Keene and husband Danny of Jolo, Crystal Church and husband Michael of Cosby, Tenn.; a sister-in-law, Linda Hagerman of Avondale; three brothers, William Mack Hagerman and wife Carolyn of Scarbro, Randall Hagerman and wife Jennifer of Jolo, Doug Hagerman and wife Kathleen of Trinity, N.C.; a special nephew, Patrick Ryan Hagerman of the home; a very special friend and caretaker, Kathy Baker-Lowe of Raysal; additional nieces and nephews, Sharon Laxton, Pudgy Hagerman, Lewis Laxton, Jeanna Cook, Robin Hagerman, Rob Cooper, Steven Addair, Karen Laxton, Eric Matney, Karen Kerns, Adam Hagerman, Brandy Hicks, April Laxton, Miranda Hose, Jed Conard, John Hagerman, Jason Laxton, Josh Baker, Tonya Wimmer, Regina Johnson, Heather Grimm, Jessica Graham, Christa Church, Mikey Church, Jami Hagerman, Randy Hagerman, and Audrianna Hagerman; forty great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-niece.Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at 1 o'clock with the Reverend Charles Rose and the Reverend Ray Walley officiating at the Family Worship Center at Jolo, W.Va. "Larry Hobert Pruitt, 73, of Bartley, WV, passed away at the home of his sister, Robin, on Wednesday, December 29, 2021."Larry was born October 24, 1948, in Welch, WV, a son of the late William Riley and Winonia Hagerman Pruitt. Larry loved to hunt, fish, and joke around with everyone he met; he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Larry never met a stranger; everyone that met him loved him dearly. Larry was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Yukon, WV, for many years. He loved singing in church and playing his guitar, but most of all he loved being in the presence of the Lord. In his spare time Larry enjoyed sitting on the front porch with his Bible, paper, and pen. He loved being out in the yard picking up cans or helping in the garden in the summer. Larry loved to tell stories to everyone he met; he especially enjoyed it when people would just sit and listen to his stories. Larry will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
