He was an Army vet of the Korean War and was retired from Peerless Pump as a welder. He was a member of the United Mine Workers Union, AFL-CIO, International Machinist Union and Southport Heights Christian Church. Claude is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Wilson Arthur; sons, Stephen E. Arthur and Gregory Thomas Arthur (Jorge Aguilar) and daughter, Susan (James) Sutterfield; grandchildren: Ashley R.
