"When Sissy was married to Troy, she had a son, Troy Birch, Jr. He died when he was less than three months old. Variations on the cause of death from family members. No one really told what the real cause of death was.
"Sissy was the best cook of all of Granny's children. She made the best Seafoam" candy! Of all of the aunts, she spoiled us the most. Probably because all of us were "her" children. She owned a grocery store/gas station and worked with books as I recall (bookkeeping). She lived in Yeager and was very well liked by everyone.
"She and Jay didn't get along that well. Jay lost one of his legs in a mining accident, I think. He had a wooden leg and us kids used to get scared when we saw it "standing over in the corner" sometimes.
