She had been a resident of Premier Mountain the greater part of her life. She was a high school graduate. She was an active member of the Trinity Temple in Welch, where she had taught Sunday School, supervised the church van, she was a deacon and a member of the board. She received a certificate of Christian Ministry from Maranatha Institute of Christian Ministries at Dublin, Va.
"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Dexter Dillon; a sister, Virginia Hodge; and two brothers, Jack Bailey and Billy Bailey.
"Surviving are four sons, Harold Dexter Dillon Jr. and wife Freda of Athens, Ronald C. Dillon of Premier Mountain, Gerald K. Dillon and wife Christy of Winchester, Va., and Harold D. Dillon III of Yorktown, Va.; three daughters, Barbara J. Craft of Princeton, Carolyn D. Born November 9, 1919 in Mohawk, W.Va., he was the son of the late Drewey and Etta Mae Jones Bailey. He was a retired coal miner and truck driver, and a life long member of the UMWA. Spending most of his life in Davy, Arthur loved the company of family and enjoyed fishing and bluegrass music. He loved the Lord and fellowshipped at the Sweet Home Baptist Church in Princeton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Gene Bailey; a grandson, Jason Hall; and three brothers and three sisters. Those left to cherish his life and memory are his wife of 67 years, Clarssia Christian Bailey of the home; four daughters, Loran (Richard) Morgan of Princeton, and Rita (Malcolm) Camp, Karen (Eugene) Hale, and Lana (David) Hall, all of Davy; a daughter-in-law, Anna Bailey; grandchildren, Gail, Sonya, Jeffrey, Michael, Gary, Brian and Kelli; great-grandchildren, Brittney, Jonathan, Robert, Ryan, Matthew, Megan, Hunter, Joshua, Michael, Kailey and Addisyn; a great-great-grandson, David; and special nephew and niece, Bobby Christian, Jr. of Sacramento, Calif. and Brenda Johnson of Richmond, Ky.Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 12 p.m. in the Douglas Mortuary chapel in Welch with the Reverend Thurman Belcher officiating.
