Mae Finley Lester, 94, a longtime resident of Gary WV, went to be with the lord on November 12, 2015. She passed peacefully, at home surrounded by loved ones. She was the daughter of the late William and Cosby Farmer Finley. She loved visiting local churches and singing for the lord until a stroke rendered her unable. She loved playing her violin, gardening, visiting and receiving visits from friends and family.
"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, her husband, Fred Lester, two sons, Ronnie and Donnie Finley, three step sons, Jimmy, Roger, and Bert Lester. Two step daughters, Linda Lester Rahmlow, and Jean Lester Finley; one sister, Ollie Finley Morgan, six brothers, Albert, Arley, Charles, Fred, Luther, and Clarence Finley.
"Surviving to cherish her memories are her daughters, Margaret Lykens, Tweety and Pete Blankenship of Gary WV, two stepdaughters, Frances Finley and Christine Craft, one devoted son, David Lester and Sandy of Roanoke VA, one brother James (Connie) Finley of Bedford VA, special granddaughter, Kristin Blankenship and numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great great great grandchildren.
"Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 12 Noon, from the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch, with Pastor Ron Felts officiating, burial will follow at Iaeger Memorial Cemetery in Roderfield WV..."
