"Born May 1, 1917, at Browns Creek in McDowell County, she was the daughter of the late Milton Mullens Sr. and Lula Princess Farley Mullens.
"Mrs. Wade was a member of the Rockcastle Baptist Church. Lila and her husband, Gordon, owned and operated Wade’s Radio and Television Service in Mullens for many years until his retirement. While living in Mullens, Lila and her husband enjoyed many activities together. In their earlier years, they belonged to a bowling league and played golf at Princeton. She was on the ladies golf team at Twin Falls State Park, where she scored a hole-in-one. She was also very active with her husband’s musical group, “The Original Twilighters.”
"After moving to Rock View, where she has resided for a number of years, she was presented a 50-year membership award from the First Methodist Church of Mullens where she was very active in the Methodist Women. She also belonged to the Women of the Moose in Mullens.
"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Gordon Wade; a brother, Milton Mullens Jr.; sisters, Pauline York and Zola Church; nephews, Gary Lee Church, Gerald Mullens, Eddie Mullens and Bill Mullens; and a great niece, Kerri Dee Williams.
