She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, loved gardening, crafts, camping and fishing."Born June 14, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Andy John Stewart (1885-1962) and Lake "Lakie" Maude Barber-Stewart (1886-1949). "Ed lived most of his life in Matheny. He also made his home in Summers County on the farm. A place he loved and enjoyed living on the mountains. He attended the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Summers county while living there. He moved back to Matheny in 2010.
"He was a member of the Matheny Methodist Church where he enjoyed going to church, and serving the Lord.
"Ed was a disabled coalminer. He was employed at Kopperston Mine, Harris #1, F&F Mine, and drove a log truck for Church Brothers Lumber Co, Lugars, and Billy Stewart. He enjoyed riding motorcycles especially Harley Davidsons, teasing people about Dodge trucks, cooking, gardening, and most of all spending time with his four precious grandchildren and his family.
"In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Lola Stewart, and infant son James Stewart, two brothers, Henry Charles Stewart Jr. and James Holly Stewart.

"She loved working with wood, hunting, fishing, cooking, gardening, working jigsaw puzzles, singing in church, and most of all, spending time with her four precious grandchildren and family.
"In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, James Edgar Stewart.
"In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 46 years, Lacy Edgar Stewart; two daughters, Deana Holbrook and husband, Jeff of Green Camp and Edna Vanhoy and husband, Chad of Pineville; four grandchildren, Kile and Kelsy Holbrook of Green Camp and Hunter and Lucas Vanhoy of Pineville; four sisters, Linda Counts and husband, Jack, Louise Stewart and husband Calvin of Matheny, Lakie Bailey and husband Bernard of Oceana, and Lynn Stewart and husband Sam of Matheny; five brothers, Ash P. of Matheny, David and wife Josie of Oceana, Earl and wife Alice, Dale and wife Teresa, and Wendell and wife Brenda, all of Matheny; special sister-in-law, Garnet Bailey of Matheny; niece, Regina Toler of Kopperston, many special nieces and nephews, and a host of friends and neighbors.
