".. Final rites for Emick Ray Walls, 65, of 119 Teel Road will be held at the Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel at 3 pm Saturday with Revs Earl Cochran and Landon H. Stanley officiating. Graveside military rites at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Prosperity will be conducted by the American Legion. Walls, a retired salesman for Sunbeam Bakery, was pronounced dead on arrival at a Beckley hospital at 2:35 a.m. Thursday after a short illness. Born at, Whorncliffe, in Mingo County, Oct. 28, 1908; he was the son of the late Russell French and Martha Toler Walls.
".. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church at Mabscott and a veteran of World War I serving as captain in the U. S. Army. Walls wrote "West Virginia's Greatest Manhunt," about a 1914 payroll, robbery resulting in the deaths of 11 men, for the May-June 1971 issue of "West Virginia Illustrated". He retired Oct. 27, 1973, from Sunbeam Bakery, where he worked as friver (sic) and salesman for 20 years. He came to Beckley in 1942 from Richwood.

She was formerly employed at the Welch Daily News and was a member of the Roderfield Fire Department Women's Club.
"Preceded in death by, in addition to her parents, her husband, Alfred E. Ciampanella; two brothers, Sterling Stone and Calvert Stone; and four sisters.
"Survivors include two sons, Freddy Ciampanella of Big Sandy and Ray Ciampanella of Princeton; two daughters, Teresa Pauley and Susan Garrett, both of Roxboro; two brothers, Tye Stone of Arlington, Va. and Jim Stone of Ohio; four sisters, Jewell Morningstar of Arlington, Daynice Bishop of Charleston, Delray Culbreath of North Carolina, and Ellie Muncy of Ohio; 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
