"Lee Ander Grimmett, 83, of Raven, went to be with the Lord March 20 at his home surrounded by his loving family. "Born in Logan, W.Va., he was a son of the late James Okey and Eskie Hatfield Grimmett. He made his home in Raven since 1955 and was of the Holiness Faith. He was a 31 year retired coal miner with Pittston Coal Company and was a member of the United Mine Workers of America Local Union #1760. He loved spending time with his family and two favorite dogs, Penny and Susie. "In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Larry Grimmett; one granddaughter; five sisters, Nancy Vider, Betty Peck, Louisia Workmen, Myrtle Hatfield and Vicie Bryant; and three brothers, Joe Grimmett, Naaman Grimmett and James Grimmett. "Survivors: wife, Doris Grimmett; daughters, Velma Taylor and husband, Ronnie, of Richlands, Phyllis Snodgrass and husband, Michael, of Bristol, Va., Deloris Shortridge and husband, Paul, of Claypool Hill, Linda Blankenship, Cindy Whitlock and Geneva Adkins, all of West Virginia; sons, Jerry Grimmett and wife, Teresa, Bobbie Grimmett and wife, Stella, and Okey Grimmett and wife, Deanna, all of Raven, Ervin Grimmett and wife, Debbie, and Christopher Grimmett and wife, Stephanie, all of Richlands, Michael Grimmett and wife, Melissa, of Claypool Hill, James Grimmett and wife, Jennifer, of Cliffield; grandson of the home, Anthony Hampton; sister, Ina Clark and husband, Leon, of West Virginia; brother, Raymond Grimmett and wife, Mildred, of West Virginia; 23 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
