"Born March 22, 1919, at Fanrock, he was the son of the late Powell and Ida Mitchem Morgan. "Mr. Morgan retired from Ashland Oil Company with many years of service and was of the Church of God faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II. "In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes M. Hoepfner Morgan; a son, James “Bo” Morgan; two daughters Brenda Green and Linda Weaver; a sister, Opal Thomas; and four brothers, Clifford Morgan, Troy England, Kelsey England and Ralph Morgan. "Survivors include three sons, Gene P. Morgan of Elizabethton, Tenn., and Douglas R. Morgan and Richard D. Morgan, both of San Bernardino, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. "He was born on March 10, 1925 in Emmett WV. He worked as a coal miner in WV until 1959 and was a member of the United Mine Workers. He retired from the Lorain Ford Assembly Plant in 1985 and was a member of UAW Local 425. He spent his retirement with his children and grandchildren.
