Leslie Bailey Kennedy,38, of Glen Daniel, formerly of Oceana took her heavenly flight to be with her Lord
and Savior on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH following a long illness. Born
February 1, 1978 in Beckley, WV to Avary Bailey and the late Betty Jo Cook Bailey. Leslie is a member of
Coal Marsh Missionary Baptist Church, Glen Daniel where her husband serves as pastor, and a 1996
graduate of Oceana High School. Leslie loved spending time with her family and church family, camping,
fishing, facebooking, but nothing compared to the love that she had for her nieces and nephew whom she
adored. In addition to her mother she is preceded in death by her mother-in-law Robin Kennedy, paternal
grandparents Sheldon and Willie McMillion Bailey; maternal grandparents Dewey and Virginia Billings
Cook. Survivors include her loving husband of 17 years Rev. Scott Kennedy; her father Avary Bailey of
Crany; a brother Jason Bailey and wife Roncheski of Crany; her father-in-law David Kennedy of Oceana; a
brother-in-law Michael Kennedy and wife Tonya of Oceana; two nieces Ella and Olivia Bailey of Crany; a
nephew Aaron Kennedy of Oceana; five uncles Algie Cook and wife Peggy, Larry Cook and wife Brenda all
of Crany, Kermit Bailey and wife Lillian, Gary Bailey and wife Tammy all of Lynco, Teddy Bailey and wife
Anita of KY; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on
