"Hollie Toler, Jr., 68, of Oceana, WV went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday March 29, 2020 at the UK
Medical Center, Lexington, KY surrounded by his wife, daughter and grandson. He was born on August 26, 1951
in Welch, WV a son of the late Hollie and Edith Osborne Toler. Hollie grew up attending the Oceana First Church
of God and recently attended the Oceana United Methodist Church. He is a member of the Wyoming County
Veterans Honor Guard, and DAV. He was a retired coal miner with 20 plus years from Eastern Peabody Coal and a
member of the Oceana Volunteer Fire Department for 43 years with so much honor. He loved spending time with
his family, church family, friends, doing work with the fire dept. the Honor Guard, and setting on the porch
drinking his ice tea with his dog Heidi. He also loved working on things with his grandson. He was loved by so
many. He was a Hero to his daughter. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister Ernestine (Jim)
Blanchard, five brothers, Alvin, Paul Jack(Carol), Kenzie Dickie"(Sandy), Jeff, and Franklin Toler; and
brother-in-law John Shinn. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Debra Toler; a daughter Amanda
Brown Toler of Cyclone; a grandson Zachery Brown and fiance Makayla Harvey of Cyclone; soon to be great
grandson Tyler Brown due to be born in May 2020; special thought of son Kris Howell of Bluefield, VA; two
sisters Greynell Shinn of Jacksonville, FL and Yvonne Lovensheimer of Florence, KY; a brother Kermit (Renva)
Toler of Beckley; two sister-in-laws Loraine Toler of Oceana and Iris Toler of South Charleston; three special
nieces Heather, Kadence and Ryleigh Lucas; special thought of grand children Nate, Mia, Lyndsi, Joey Webb, and
Christian Sams; and a host of dear loving nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends. Funeral services
will be held at 1 PM on Thursday April 2nd in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Pastor
Ron Acord officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Pallbearers will be his
grandson and members of the Oceana Fire Department. The Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard will conduct
Military Rites. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to the Wyoming County Veterans Honor
Guard or the Oceana Fire Department. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco."
