Trinnie had children with Charley Dollarhide (Flossie Smith), Horatio Seymour Boling (Goldie May Stanley & Sara Frances "Frankie" Rowe) James Preston Jennings (Margie Newberry, Mary Jane Robinette, Elzie Jennings, Living Jennings, & James Preston "Baby Jay" Jennings who died as a toddler). Trinnie died at her daughter Goldie's house on April Fools Day 1951. She was a fabulous cook and cooked at the boarding house owned by J.P. Jennings for his lumber crew in Coalwood. She was also known throughout the county as a seamstress. Trinnie was married to Aldie Steel at the time of her death.

"Avinell Sue Steele was a truly remarkable and exceptional woman who was loved, respected and honored by not only her children but by everyone who came into contact with her. She was the Beautician at the Spencer State Hospital and Cosmetology Instructor at the Spencer Rehabilitation Center for over twenty years. Sue, as she preferred to be called, always went out of her way to help others, not only her fellow co-workers but the patients loved, respected and praised her for the many noble acts of kindness which she showed to them. Sue loved others in a way which was self-sacrificing. Sue was an organ donor.Through her gift, doctors, nurses and other medical students at the West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, WV. gained extraordinary knowledge and one person was given the wonderful gift of sight due to her love of others; Sue is memorialized at the WV. University Medical School Gift Monument by a plague noting her love and sacrifice. Prior to her death, Sue accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and she is now at peace with her Lord in heaven...Praise the Lord. "
