"MULLENS — George David Rinehart, 59, of Mullens stepped out into eternity on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at the Hilltop Center, Hilltop, following a short illness. "Born March 16, 1952, at Mullens, he was the son of the late Jesse and Helen (Barker) Rinehart. "David was currently an environmental technician at Raleigh General Hospital, a former employee of the Beckley Hospital with 25 total years of service in health care. He was a graduate of Mullens High School where he played on the high school baseball team and was scouted by the New York Mets. He was a former Babe Ruth coach. David was a true sports fan, and he had a great love and passion for baseball, being his favorite; he also enjoyed football and basketball. "He was also a NASCAR fan, Dale Earnhardt being his favorite driver. David loved the outdoors, and he enjoyed rabbit hunting with his Dad, Ronnie Chambers, and his sons, Nolan and Jason. He loved camping and fishing on the New River with his family. "Above all, David’s family was most important to him; he loved spending time with his granddaughters, Katie and Alyssa. "In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a sister, Diane Chambers. "Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 39 years, Pamela England Rinehart; two sons, Nolan Rinehart and his wife, Stephanie, and their daughter, Alyssa, of Otsego and Jason T. Rinehart and his wife Enis and their daughter, Katie Tilly, of Otsego; and numerous friends and co-workers.
