"Danny Clifton Hawk, Sr., 76, of Pilot Mountain, NC, formerly of Oceana, WV, passed from is earthly home
to his heavenly home on Thursday September 26, 2019 at his home surrounded by his caring and loving
family. He was born on August 2, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio, a son of the late Clifton Vernon and Eva Mae
Boulus Hawk. He was a 1962 graduate of Columbus West High School and a coal miner having retired
after 32 years from Maple Meadow Mining, Fairdale, WV. In addition to his parents he is preceded in
death by his in-laws Charlie and Juanita Morgan. Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years Lorane
Morgan Hawk; two sons Danny C. (Amy) Hawk, Jr. of Kernersville, NC and Darren (Shane) Hawk of
Wilmington, NC; grandchildren Cortney of Greensboro, NC, Candace of Princeton and Garrett and Payton
of Greenville, SC; great grandson Isaac of Princeton; a brother Richard (Cynda) of Columbus, OH;
brothers-in-law Eudell (Frances) of Dover TN, Leo of Pilot Mt., NC, David (Freda) of Vonore, TN, Terry
(Marty) of Fairfield, OH; numerous cousins and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral service
will be held at 11AM on Tuesday October 1, 2019 at the Oceana First Church of God, Oceana, WV with Rev.
Ty Morgan and Rev. Terry Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens Cemetery,
